the italian Toys for Tots...

Il toys for Tots (Toys for Tots foundation) è un evento benefico che in Italia viene organizzato ormai da 16 anni dal DOC Pordenone (toysfortots Italy), riprendendo una iniziativa americana nata nel 1947 dal maggiore del US Marine Corps Bill Hendricks. In Italia la manifestazione si svolgeva regolarmente all'interno delle basi USA disseminate nel territorio italiano, ed è proprio grazie all'amicizia con alcuni militari che l'evento è stato conosciuto e sdoganato.
La manifestazione consiste nel portare un dono a bambini meno fortunati, da anni il Toys for Tots ha come meta i piccoli ospiti dell'istituto Nostra Famiglia di San Vito al Tagliamento (PN) (lanostrafamiglia).
Anche quest'anno l'evento si è svolto come di consueto e grazie alle favorevoli condizioni meteo c'è stato una notevole presenza di bikers.

For our US friends the Toys for Tots isn't a news, they well know it because major Bill Hendricks of US Marine Corps found it in the 1947 (Toys for Tots foundation). In Italy the Pordenone Ducati Owners Club got the idea from some soldiers of the near base of Aviano. So, since 1998 we have our Toys for Tots (toysfortots Italy).
The object of this event is give some moments of happyness and some gifts of all children are guest to Nostra Famiglia institute (lanostrafamiglia).
